Strang Residence
New Landscape
I designed and installed this new landscape that includes retaining wall (due to the 4-foot slope along back fence line), new concrete walkways and patio, and concrete pads for pergola and swing.
Ms. Strang is a gardener, likes to work the soil and spend time in the garden as a way to de-stress. She asked for flowers, flowers and flowers. A fountain install adds a calming influence and is good for birds and bees.

New Landscape
Client requested a modern contemporary design with straight lines. To achieve this, I went with stainless steel raised containers, fountain, artificial turf and dry creek bed. She liked a smaller size of stainless steel raised beds. I gave her two containers to balance out the walkway to the fountain and surrounded them with polished black Mexican Rock for contrast against the 3/8-inch Black Lava rock mulch. I installed a dry creek bed to flow into the walkway with evergreen plants. I also installed two 4-feet-high containers with annuals and perennials for 4-season color.

Landscape Makeover
Revamped an old landscape area and turned it into an enclosed veggie and flower garden with new redwood veggie beds, arbor and small islands of flowers. Also, took an existing succulent garden and freshened it up by transplanting, installing new plants, created a safe pathway, moved around garden art for a peaceful and beautiful succulent garden.

New landscape with raised beds and containers.
If you live on a boulder, go up! Raised beds of Ledgestone. Plantings include Fireglow Maples and Ocktoberfest Strawberry Tree. Cobalt blue containers with arbor make a focal point. Painted fence.

New Landscape with raised beds and containers.
Ms. Montane requested a modern style. I Installed stainless steel raised beds and finished them off with an etched pattern. Instead of bark for mulch, used limestone. I installed concrete pillars to hold pots with palm trees and painted the fences.

Clients hired me to redo their outdoor sitting area and surrounding garden. To reduce tripping, I replaced gravel between Arizona Flagstone patio with mortar. Redid garden steps for safety. Removed redwood retaining bed and replaced with ledgestone. Installed two cobalt blue containers for pop of color. Planted all new plants and installed fountain.

Complete maintenance on a 16-year-old typical front and back yard landscape that had too many trees and shrubs installed to achieve an instant impact without giving thought to 10 years down the road.
Scope of work: Ripped out old irrigation system and replaced with new in-line drip tubing; pruned, deadheaded, transplanted, removed and replaced trees and shrubs and installed 20 yards of mulch; allowing prior sheered shrubs to grow free form.

Revived a very tired landscape by installing keystone blocks for raised beds. Used Playground mulch to brighten the backyard. Painted the fence deep brown.

Landscape Makeover
Clients recently had a new pool installed which caused the rest of the backyard to look outdated. We rebuilt and painted the back fence, removed a palm tree and added 3 gorgeous cobalt blue containers that created instant impact.
In the two raised brick beds, we removed all plants and replaced them with blooming perennials for birds and beneficial insects to feast on.
Surrounding the new pool were 2 types of pavers, giving a chopped up look. We removed them and installed Basalite Positano pavers in 3 sizes. These flowed more smoothly into the existing concrete patios. We extended the new pavers to either side of the house to existing patios.
